I have loved art and creativity since childhood. In college I received a Bachelor’s in General Fine Art and additional graduate study credits in Art Education. Shortly after graduation I spent 2 years working for the U.S. Embassy in Vienna, Austria. When I returned to the U.S. I began work in the art transportation industry, both domestically and internationally, and now have over 15 years of experience in fine art logistics. I met my husband and we moved to the Big Island of Hawaii for a year, where I continued working in the transportation industry. We moved back to the main land and have settled down in West Virginia, where we live in a charming log cabin. My husband, son, and daughter are the lights of my life. In my free time I volunteer at my church, spend lots of time in nature, and read classic science fiction novels.

Lily Scholer

A native of Los Angeles, California, As the daughter of an artist, I was quite literally born into the Art World! I spent much of my formative years tagging along to various art events and numerous artists’ studios with my artist father. I studied art history at UCLA, gaining by BA in 2002. I began my career in the art world in 2000, managing multi-million dollar private art collection of several of Los Angeles’ most prominent art collectors. Overseeing all aspects of their collections, including asset management, purchases/sales, exhibition loans, installations, transport & logistics. After 13 years in collection management, I transitioned into a position with one of the world’s leading art handling companies, where my specialty and focus became the consolidation and dispersal of major exhibitions for major US museums, such as The Hammer Museum, LACMA, The Getty Museum and Museum of Modern Art New York. After several years, I accepted an opportunity with The Huntington Library & Botanical Gardens as exhibition coordinator and registrar for their joint exhibition with the Hammer Museum, Made in LA 2020. Upon completing my tenure at The Huntington, I decided to return to art transport and logistics and found a home here at Lockson, Inc.

Avery Fuerst

Pronouns: She/They
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas

I attended college at Texas State University, earning a Bachelor of Art in Art History with a Minor in Psychology. Ask me anything about the evolution of Greek column styles or my love of surrealist art.

As long as I can remember, I’ve always had the desire to help animals, and over the years, I’ve rescued, fostered, and found homes for many stray cats and dogs. My eleven-year-old cat, Celeste, is a rescue too!

My grandfather is an antique dealer, and I am the daughter of a Ceramist, so I grew up surrounded by art and antiques. Although I do not sell it, making art is a lifelong hobby of mine.

My passions include playing soccer, boxing, traveling, and spending time with friends/family.

With no experience in this field, I was fortunate enough to receive on the job training. Now after 7 years, I oversee warehouse operations and I’m a specialist in packing, shipping, and storage of art and antiques. Some of my hobbies include cooking, fashion, and working out.
